Water restrictions begin
From the Times-Dispatch:
Richmond-area localities today will put in place voluntary restrictions on water use.Water officials from Richmond, and the counties of Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico warn that if residents and businesses don't try to save water, they may make the restrictions mandatory, meaning violators could face fines.
For example, in the city those fines range from $50 to $200 for each violation.
Officials are asking residents not to water lawns and gardens every day, and to cut back on washing cars and replenishing swimming pools.
