Re: What We Can Learn From Iraq

Robert,
I do appreciate your efforts, but must make a few points. Surely you
are aware that the US is not a Democratic form of government and that
libertarianism is all about individual freedom and responsibility.
There is no individual freedom in a democracy. When 51% of the
people, or for that matter 99.999%, dictate actions to the balance,
there is no individual freedom.
I have no objection to spreading our cause aboard as long as it is a
totally voluntary effort. i.e. no tax money used and no innocent
people killed to support our criminal
government/media/banker/military/industrial complex. How many
"democracies" do we have to show for our military involvement in
hundreds of countries and millions dead? How many people in Iraq do
you think feel that they are better off now than they were before we
arrived and the suicide bombings and civil war started? If they could
still think, maybe one or two of the dead, but Riverbend, a young
female Iraqi blogger, certainly does not.

If you have any doubts about the criminality of the
government/media/banker/military/criminal/industrial complex save this
link until you have time to read what Catherine Austin Fitts has to
say. http://www.dunwalke.com/ It is long, but very enlightening.
All the best,
Mike Eck PS: Keep your thoughts coming. I do enjoy reading them.
